Boundary Line Maintenance Program

In an effort to help you protect the integrity of your most valued asset, your land, we have developed and are offering a new boundary line maintenance program for our existing clientele. We are offering this service to you in an attempt to help safeguard against any possible boundary line encroachments, to assist in defending your property against false adverse claims from adjacent owners or others and to give you peace of mind in knowing exactly where your boundary lines are, as previously established by Lane S. Bishop and Associates, a reputable land surveying firm in business for over 30 years. This service will also help to ensure that your boundary lines remain in the same place and are clearly defined for anyone to see.

There will be three options available for our new boundary line maintenance program; quarterly, semi-annually and annually and the services rendered will include re-trimming and re-flagging all boundary lines as per our normal practices, as well as re-setting and property corners that are badly disturbed or missing.

After the field inspection and maintenance of your boundary lines and corners, a written inspection report and photographs detailing any suspicious activities, encroachments or changes since the initial survey will be delivered to your mailing address that we have on file here at our office.

The fee structure for those enrolled in our boundary line maintenance program will be as follows:

  • between zero and five acres $250.00
  • between five and ten acres $350.00
  • ten acres or greater will be $350 plus $10.00 per additional acre

Our boundary line maintenance programs at these rates are applicable only to surveys that have been completed within the past two calendar years. Surveys that do not meet this specification will be evaluated independently for the initial maintenance trip and then billed according to the fee structure as stated above for each trip thereafter.

There used to be a time when handshakes and landmarks were agreeable to neighbors as understood boundary lines. In today's litigious society such an understanding is no longer sufficient.

With property values rising and land being such a valuable and scarce commodity, in conjunction with the influx of new residents and developers coming to the county, protecting what is yours would seem to be a logical decision to make if offered the opportunity.

"We hope the relative value of this service, as opposed to the headache, frustration and legal costs of adverse boundary line issues will appeal to you in protecting the integrity of your most valued asset, your land. Be certain to insure yourself against those who may try to claim what is rightfully yours by calling our office today to schedule the beginning of your boundary line maintenance program."
